Snoqualmie Fire Department "Fill The Aid Car" Holiday Food Drive Today

Come to Snoqualmie Ridge IGA Supermarket today, December 12th, from 8 – 5PM and help the Snoqualmie Fire Department fill their aid car with food for the North Bend Food Bank.

To help make donating easy, the Ridge IGA is selling bags of needed food items.  The bags are located in the front of the store and sell for $8.99 each.

SFD will have its antique fire truck on hand.  Kids can drop off donations, meet a fire fighter and explore the antique truck.  Santa will also make a visit around 2:30PM.  He will be available for pictures with kids on the antique fire truck.

Local residents are also encouraged to visit the IGA’s “Giving Tree.”  Local kids in need have hung their holiday gift wishes on the tree.  You can grab a “wish ornament” and return the corresponding gift to the IGA tree by 12/15.  Over 450 kids signed up for the Kiwanis Giving Tree Program this year – more than any other year.

Our family really enjoyed picking a wish ornament last year and will be participating again this year.  The kids decided to give one of their gifts to kids who need it more.  We wanted to show them that Christmas is more about giving than receiving.  They really got it.  They picked out the needed gift themselves and enjoyed returning it to the tree.

So come to Snoqualmie Ridge IGA today, December 12th.  Help fill the SFD aid car with needed food. All donated food goes directly to local families in need.  Grab a gift tag from the giving tree, too.  Donated gifts go directly to local kids signed up for the Giving Tree Christmas Program.
