ORIGINAL STORY

Last fall, Puget Sound Energy, which owns popular Snoqualmie Falls Park, closed the park’s lower observation deck and boardwalk due to safety concerns.

At the time PSE said the boardwalk was in need of replacement or extensive repair, and maintaining the wood structure in the damp location had presented some unique challenges.

PSE is now preparing to make those needed repairs and will be closing the entire lower portion of Snoqualmie Falls Park from July 27th – July 31st and again on August 3rd and 4th.

According to PSE Customer Communication Manager Jarrett Tomalin, both closures include the trail that connects upper Snoqualmie Falls Park to the lower area and river access in the lower park.

Once repairs are complete, the public will again have access the popular lower Snoqualmie Falls boardwalk and observation deck, which have been closed since October.
