Snoqualmie Elementary Teacher Honored as Teacher of the Month

Snoqualmie Valley Macaroni Kid is in the second year of their Teacher of the Month program that honors local teachers and gives them special recognition as an extraordinary teacher – and a little spoiling with a dinner out and a massage gift card.

This month, Snoqualmie Elementary School’s 2nd grade teacher, Nate Ziemkowski, receives the top honor.  Here’s the nominating letter:

“Mr. Z has made my son and all of his students feel special and excited about school.  On the first day of school he pulled my son aside and had him read an email he had written to me saying what a great first day he had and that Mr. Z was excited to have him in class.  Then he let my son send the email.  This situation is made more remarkable because Jake has struggled with his behavior and I’m sure Mr. Z was aware of that.  Jake was so excited when he got home and he couldn’t wait to ask if I’d gotten the email.  I was so impressed that Mr. Z captured Jake’s affection so quickly and motivated my son to want to do his best everyday.  This is just one of many examples of why Mr. Ziemkowski should be recognized as the Teacher of the Month.

If you have teacher you’d like to nominate visit the Snoqualmie Valley Macaroni Kid nomination page.  Sponsors for this year’s Teacher of the Month program include Bridget Franklin from The Cascade Team, The Flat Iron Grill, Therapeutic Health of North Bend and Issaquah Trophy & Awards.

Congratulations Mr. Ziemkowski!
