Snoqualmie Community Center/YMCA – Last Chance For Public Input

This is it.  Get off those couches and have your voices heard Snoqualmie!

The final public meeting regarding basic building design of the new Snoqualmie Community Center/YMCA is next Tuesday, September 28th.  It takes place from 6:30 – 8PM inside Council Chambers at Snoqualmie City Hall.  The new City Hall building is located at 38624 SE River St.

The future community center/YMCA is presently in design phase.  Come see current designs, including floor and site plans.  Come hear about the next steps for the development project.  The developers will also be on hand to address programming as it relates to building design.  This is the last opportunity for pubic input before finalization of the center’s basic design.

I have personally been involved in the community center saga for a number of years.  During this time period I’ve heard first hand from many of you what you want in this community center.  Your ideas included everything from classes and programming, to basic building design and style, to the number of available parking spots, to traffic implications.  After 12 years a shovel is finally going in the ground – so get your voices heard while the city and developers are still asking to hear them!

The community center/YMCA is scheduled to break ground April 2011 at Snoqualmie Community Park, 35016 SE Ridge Street – next to Cascade View Elementary School.
