Update: Small Plane Crashes Near North Bend

In the FAA Accident and Incident Notice dated October 29th, 2021 the aircraft was said to have crashed under unknown circumstances near Bandera, WA.

There is one fatality listed under flight crew. No other injuries or fatalities were noted. The FAA does not identify passengers.

ORIGINAL STORY

Search crews found the wreckage of a single-engine Mooney M20 southeast of Bandera, Wash., this afternoon. The FAA does not yet know how many people were on board.

The FAA issued an Alert Notice (ALNOT) at approximately 9:30 a.m. Pacific Time today for the aircraft, which departed Arlington Municipal Airport in Arlington, Wash., for Joslin Field – Magic Valley Regional Airport in Twin Falls, Idaho. 

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide additional updates.

After investigators verify the aircraft registration number at the scene, the FAA will release it on this web site page, usually on the next business day

  • A convoy of about 20 rescue vehicles heading up the North Fork road towards the Spur 10 gate, 8:30 Friday morning. Not near Bandera so possibly not related.

    This sound right about the crash site. Flight tracker shows plane crashing near Hancock/Calligan Lakes, not near Bandera.
