Serious One Car Rollover on I-90 Backs up Monday Afternoon Traffic

Around 3:30PM, June 8, 2015, a serious, one-car accident blocked two of the three eastbound lanes of I-90, just west of milepost 31 in North Bend.

Around 3:50PM, a driver on eastbound I-90 said traffic came to a halt and three Washington State Patrol vehicles tore by, responding to the scene where a light-colored passenger vehicle rolled over, coming to rest in the center lane.

Monday afternoon, the Washington State Department of Transportation warned drivers of possible big backups as police and fire/aid crews helped the driver who was transported from the scene by ambulance, according to another driver.

The Washington State Patrol stated via social media that the accident resulted in a serious injury. One local resident said her son helped pulled an injured woman from the heavily damaged vehicle and luckily, it seemed she would be okay.

State troopers performed an accident investigation and traffic began to clear about two hours after the accident.
