ORIGINAL STORY

The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) said its Marine Unit will continue the search for a presumed drowning victim in Rattlesnake Lake Wednesday morning, August 7, 2019.

Crews from Eastside Fire & Rescue, Snoqualmie Fire Department and Seattle Watershed responded to Rattlesnake Lake near North Bend Tuesday night around 7:30PM and began a surface water search with certified rescue swimmers assisted by UAS Drone 181, a more advanced drone with longer flight times and enhanced cameras.

Access to the lake was restricted to first responders during the initial, hour-long search, but it was called off due to darkness.

KCSO said a male in his 30’s reportedly went under the water and did not resurface according to his two companions. They received a 911 call at 6:58PM, August 6th.

The Rattlesnake Lake water temperature was 69.8 degrees on August 5th, the most recent temperature reading recorded by King County.
