Seahawks ‘Blue Friday Night Lights’ comes to Wildcat Stadium for big Mount Si, Woodinville game

There is a buzz around Mount Si High School – local and national – when it comes to the Wildcat Football program this year.

The Seattle Seahawks are bringing ‘Blue Friday Night Lights’ to Wildcat Stadium this Friday, September 21st as #2 ranked Mount Si faces the #9 ranked Woodinville Falcons.

According to a district announcement, the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline will be playing with the Mount Si Drumline; the Sea Gals and Blitz will also be on hand to hype up the crowd; and Superintendent Manahan will even be raising the 12th man flag before the game.

All the Seahawks pre-game festivities start at 6PM and kickoff happens at 7PM.  For those who would like to see the Mount Si vs. Woodinville as King 5’s High School Game of the Week, you can vote HERE. [No registration is required for voting.]

Mount Si Football – scoring over 50 points in each of its first three games – has also been getting some national attention as senior quarterback Cale Millen continues to put up big passing numbers.

Over the summer USA TODAY High School Sports named Millen one of the top 12 high school quarterbacks to watch this fall – and so far he seems to being living up to the prediction, completing 77% of his passes for over 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns. 11 of those touchdowns – including five in last week’s game – were to senior wide receiver, Johnny Barrett.

Good Luck andGo Cats!
