Scheduled nine-hour power outage to affect parts of North Bend this weekend

Tanner Electric announced via press release this week that it has a scheduled power outage planned that will impact all of its North Bend customers over the weekend.

The scheduled, nine-hour outage will start on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11PM and last through through Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 8AM. tanner-electric

Tanner said the outage will allow crews and subcontractors to work efficiently and safely while the North Bend substation is de-energized –  and also give crews the opportunity to perform a high level substation maintenance and upgrade.

The electricity co-op services about 2,000 residences in North Bend.

Tanner Electric anticipates the work to be finished in a timely manner,” but stated  if any unforeseen circumstances beyond their control should arise, the outage could extend past 8 AM on Saturday, October 8th. If this occurs Tanner Electric staff will post any necessary updates or changes on their website at http://www.tannerelectric.coop.

For customers with medical conditions that could be compromised due to this service interruption, Tanner asks that you please make arrangements or accommodations to stay with a friend or family to ensure your safety until the power outage has been completed.
