Updated: Saturday Fatality Accident on I90 May Have Caused Two Car Fires

Update 9:02 PM- Westbound I-90 now has one lane open.

Update 6:10 PM: According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver of one of the vehicles involved is sadly deceased at the scene. The other driver is uninjured. The WSP is closing WB I-90 and diverting traffic off to exit 22. Expect a lengthy closure.

On I-90 just east of High Point Way (MP 21) on Saturday at approximately 530 pm, there was a collision that is now blocking multiple lanes westbound.

Fire Assistance and the State Patrol have arrived on the scene.

Witnesses report seeing a Corvette traveling westbound while changing lanes frequently, lose control, flip into the median and catch on fire. No word yet as to how the other car was involved.
