Sand and Sandbags Available at North Bend Public Works for Residents Concerned About Localized Flooding

The City’s Public Works Facility has sand and sandbags available for residents concerned about potential localized street flooding impacting their homes and businesses.

Please enter through City Hall, located at 920 SE Cedar Falls Way. Park in the City Hall parking lot and check-in by calling Emergency Operations Coordinator Erin Mitchell at (425) 888-7631. You may also email her at emitchell@northbendwa.gov.

Sand and sandbags are available today, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and potentially open later if needed. Residents will need to fill bags themselves and provide their shovels, but the City has materials available free of charge.

This morning and throughout the day, Public Works crews will continue maintaining drainage ditches, culverts, storm drains and roads.

You can help prevent localized street flooding by looking at catch basins adjacent to your property. The City has created an interactive storm drain/catch basin location map to guide you in your efforts. Catch basin locations are approximate. All locations are identified on the map, but some may be covered basins. Thank you for your support.

The City of North Bend is here to help during all flood events. The City collaborates with King County’s Flood Control District, and as a member, it serves as a Sandbag Center year-round. Please visit King County’s Sandbag Distribution website for more information about this agreement.
