Losing its Home: Rhodie’s BBQ Seeks New Location as Ken’s Gas and Grocery Closes

Hidden  inside Ken’s Gas and Grocery  at I-90 exit 34, adjacent Truck Town, is what many locals call the best barbecue around – Rhodie’s Smokin’ BBQ. But it looks like Rhodie’s will soon have to relocate, as Ken’s 76 Gas Station has been sold.

Home to the famous ‘Trailboss’ pork sandwich, the small, family owned and operated restaurant is a former winner of the Bite of Seattle’s Best BBQ.

As of now, the gas pumps may be closed at Ken’s, but rest assured, Rhodie’s is still open until the station’s sale is finalized. According to Rhodie’s Facebook page, they may be relocating – and will announce that new location at a later date.

Rumors were circulating that Rhodie’s was looking at a new Preston location – 12 miles closer to Seattle – possibly in the old Yummers spot.  The owners say that location fell through, but they are still actively looking for a new location and committed to exploring every possibility so they can continue serving their faithful customers.
