Railroad Days Rolls into Town this weekend, Brings sun, fun, community spirit

North Bend had its community fun last weekend – now it’s Snoqualmie’s turn!

The 78th annual Snoqualmie Railroad Days festival rolls into downtown this weekend, August 19th – 21st and showcases RRDays-logo-headerthe Trains, Timber, Traditions that vibrantly represent the once small logging town.

Residents and visitors can join the fun with a ride on a steam train as the Santa Cruz and Portland Cement locomotive 2 pulls the trains all weekend log.

Railroad Days highlights the uniqueness of Snoqualmie’s past. Begun in 1938 as a fundraiser by volunteer firemen and their wives, the popular community event is still going strong. Today it is produced today by the Northwest Railway Museum, with the focus on  small town spirit and the uniqueness of Snoqualmie – all with family fun in mind.

The festival includes: a Pancake breakfast put on by Fire Department volunteers, live entertainment, beer and wine gardens, festival food, the Grand Parade, arts and crafts vendors, a Children’s Field of Fun and wagon rides. Once you add in train rides, model trains, timbersports shows, History Comes Alive, Artists-in- action, and the Legends Classic Car show – well, organizers say it’s going to be a fun weekend.

The weekend weather forecast is sunny and hot – so grab sunscreen, water bottles and enjoy the festivities!
