At the height of Saturday night’s strong windstorm, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) stated it had 110,000 customers without power and 12 substations down.

By Sunday, October 26, 2014, at 10AM, only two substations remained off-line – Duvall and Northup – and efforts were focused on bringing back the transmission lines. PSE stated once that transmission line issue was resolved, crews would be able to determine damage and restoration times at local levels.

Locally, many areas of the Snoqualmie Valley remain without power after Saturday’s storm that produced wind gusts up to 60MPH. Readers reported via Facebook that neighborhoods like Indian Hill, Ernie’s Grove, Fall City near Snoqualmie Falls, Tokul Creek were still out.  Also out were areas of Issaquah (Highlands), Sammamish, Dvuall and Carnation.

PSE said it had sent up a helicopter around 10AM to assess transmission line damage and appreciated the patience of its customers.

Tanner Electric reported it had restored power in the Lake Ames area by early Sunday morning. It had to wait for PSE to restore transmission lines that feed its lines in the area. Tanner reported no outages in the North Bend area Sunday morning.

You can keep up with latest PSE outages and estimated restoration times on their Outage Map. Customers can also call 1-888-225-5773 to report an outage.
