Possible Traffic Delays Through Downtown Snoqualmie all Week

Just when you thought you’d seen the last of traffic flaggers in downtown Snoqualmie, they’re back.

The City of Snoqualmie announced yesterday that for the next week, September 23rd – September 30th, road construction in historic Snoqualmie will require intermittent one-lane closures.

According to the city’s press release, there will be alternating, one-lane lane traffic along Railroad Ave SE at King Street during the hours of 7AM – 5:30PM.

The announcement didn’t state what type of road work was being done, but as of this morning a small section of asphalt was being removed for the project.

There is also partial closure of SE King Street and a detour in place.  Traffic flaggers are on site to control the traffic flow.

The City of Snoqualmie asks drivers to add extra time to their commute through downtown area.

Millpond Road is also an alternate route for drivers wishing to avoid the area and for parents and students to access Mount Si High School and Snoqualmie Elementary School.

The City of Snoqualmie completed a one-year downtown infrastructure improvement project in August that gave the downtown area a complete facelift.
