Police seek witnesses to I-90 road rage incident near Snoqualmie Pass

Washington State Patrol (WSP) is looking for anyone who may have witnessed two cars involved in a road rage incident this week that took place near Snoqualmie Pass on June 17, 2020. Police responded to the incident near the North Bend outlet mall.

According to police, at approximately 2:12PM on Wednesday, June 17th, WSP received a 9-1-1 call from a driver reporting that he was involved in a road rage incident that occurred on westbound I-90 near Snoqualmie Pass.

The caller stated that he was driving a burgundy Dodge van and the other vehicle involved was a white Chevrolet pickup. He said at some point they had come to a complete stop on the freeway near Snoqualmie Pass.

The vehicles continued westbound and the white pickup pulled into the Chevron station off of exit 31 in North Bend. The driver of the van then pulled across the street and remained on the line with the 9-1-1- operator until troopers arrived at the scene.

WSP detectives are seeking any witnesses that may have observed these vehicles on westbound I-90 – and their actions.

  • It happens all the time on the pass. I’ve had people get pissed because you’re trying to pass a slow vehicle in the passing lane, and you’re already speeding 5 over to get passed and the person behind you gets pissed off because you’re not going fast enough. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
    People need to calm down, it’s not a race! Geez 😒

  • I wouldn’t necessarily jump to conclusions on this one. The story says the van reported, but weird things happen. That van appears to be much newer than that pickup and probably much faster. I’m not sure I’d follow someone into NB after a road rage incident, depending on what that means. I’m just saying caller could have been the instigator as well. Sounds like police don’t know either.
