Police Pursue Issaquah Car Thief into North Bend, Suspect Flees, Search Turns up Empty

North Bend residents reported multiple police vehicles in the 428th Ave SE area, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, around 10PM.  One witness said police428th North BEnd were in the area, using search flood lights until approximately 1AM.

According to King County Sheriffs Office (KCSO) Deputy BJ Myers, deputies stopped a vehicle in the North Bend area that was reported stolen earlier that evening in Issaquah, WA.

When stopped, the driver of the stolen vehicle fled and was pursued by police and K-9 units. Deputy Myers said the suspect was not located last night, but deputies do believe they have identified the suspect and does not see reason for alarm.

Apparently, the suspect has lived in the Snoqualmie Valley area for a long time and is well-known to police.  Myers anticipates the King County Sheriffs Office will locate the suspect very shortly.
