Police Officers Apprehend Stabbing Suspect in Downtown North Bend

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at approximately 4 PM, Snoqualmie/North Bend Police Officers responded to reports of a subject with a gun at the North Bend Chevron gas station located at the corner of SW Mt. Si Blvd and Bendigo Blvd S.

A male subject reportedly pulled a gun on a man when he exited his vehicle. The subject then fled the scene in a vehicle that was determined to be stolen.

A short time later, at approximately 4:15 PM, officers received a report of a female with stab wounds at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds after a male subject opened the door of her vehicle while she was parked at the North Bend Safeway, located at 460 SW Mt. Si Blvd, and began to stab her.  She was able to flee the scene in her car and drive to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.

Officers conducted a search of the area and at approximately 4:30 PM located the suspect’s vehicle abandoned in the Bartell Drugs parking lot at 248 Bendigo Blvd S.

Officers then performed a check of the Bartell’s vicinity and located a subject who attempted to flee on foot.

The suspect was detained in front of Huxdotter Coffee located at 101 W. Park Street. A firearm was found in the area where the subject was apprehended.  Officers are still trying to confirm the suspect’s identity.

The injured female was transported to a different nearby hospital for further treatment of her stab wounds.
