Police Offering Free Self-Defense Class to North Bend Women this May

Following the March 9th stabbing and sexual assault of a female employee at a popular North Bend restaurant, the Snoqualmie/ North Bend Police Department announced it is offering a FREE Women’s Self-Defense course to residents.

The four-part course will be taught using the nationally recognized RAPE AGGRESSION DEFENSE SYSTEM (RAD). The RAD System is a detailed and comprehensive course for women.  It starts with crime prevention, risk reduction and avoidance and then progresses to the basics of hands-on self-defense.

The program is dedicated to teaching defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics. This course is taught by certified instructors in the area of women’s self-defense.

Classes are for female North Bend residents only who are over 18 years of age. Space is limited. Sign-ups are on a first come first served basis.
