Police Blotter | suspected missing child found locked in car; Railroad Days disturbance; stolen car needed for court date

Here are a few of the calls Snoqualmie Police Department officers responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie last week:

NOISE COMPLAINT | SE BURKE ST, Snoqualmie

On August 12th around 9:55PM, a caller reported a loud party going on. An officer responded and explained community standards to the group, who understood and agreed “to keep their mouths shut.”

VEHICLE THEFT REPORT | SALISH LODGE, Snoqualmie

On August 15th around 1:00PM, a caller reported that a woman she was with at the hotel had stolen her rental car upon checking out of the hotel in order to go to a court date in Renton. The subject did not have permission to drive the vehicle. Renton PD was contacted and went to check out the situation. They found the car in the courthouse parking lot. The subject hadn’t gone inside yet and was taken into custody.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE | SE RIDGE ST, Snoqualmie

On August 16th around 1:10AM, a caller reported that his fiancé was throwing stuff and hitting him. At the time of the call she was in the bedroom and had mellowed a bit. He claimed she had a history of domestic violence but he’d never reported it. She got violent this time because they were breaking up and she had been drinking. Police arrived and one person was cited for civil disturbance.

WELFARE CHECK | SCOTTS DAIRY FREEZE, North Bend

On August 15th around 6:15PM, a man called in asking for assistance, claiming to be losing his eyesight and feeling very dizzy. He said he was not drunk but that he’d run into something and broken his nose. Help arrived and the man was transported to the hospital for a voluntary commitment.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | RAILROAD AVE & KING ST, Snoqualmie

On August 18th around 12:15AM, a security officer at Railroad Days reported seeing a suspicious man rifling through tents, and when he asked him to leave, the subject started throwing rocks at him and rode off on a bike. Police made contact with the subject and took Xanex off of him.

MISSING CHILD | SE JACOBIA ST, Snoqualmie

On August 18th around 9:20AM, a caller reported that their 3-year-old son had been missing for the past 25 minutes. It turned out that the child had accidentally locked himself inside the family car. The parents called back to let officers know they’d located him and he was fine.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | QFC, North Bend

On August 19th around 2:35PM, a caller reported a man had stolen a six pack of beer from the store. The reporting person recovered the stolen merchandise and the subject drove away, but they requested he be trespassed from the store if police located him.
