Police Blotter | Silly String Assault; Coyote on the Tracks; Bear in the yard; Fishtailing in the Park

Sno NB police badgeHere are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past week.

ANIMAL PROBLEM | SNOQUALMIE RAILROAD MUSEUM

On May 14th around 8:45AM, a coyote was reported on the railroad tracks.  The caller reporting the coyote was “concerned for rabies” as there were people in the area when spotted.  A sergeant was advised of the issue.


MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT |  SNOWBERRY AVE, Snoqualmie

On May 14th at 11:40AM a caller reported that his vehicle was vandalized with silly string and was afraid someone would hurt him. No suspect info was known.


RECKLESS DRIVING |  TORGUSON PARK, North Bend

On May 17th at 12:20PM, it was reported that two vehicles were driving recklessly around the park at a high rate of speed and fishtailing. An officer responded and “warned and reprimanded” five male subjects.


THEFT REPORT |  SILENT CREEK AVE, Snoqualmie

On May 17th at 9:20AM it was reported that a Trek Mountain bicycle valued at$2,200 was stolen from a front porch


DISTURBANCE | FAIRWAY AVE, Snoqualmie

On May 17th around 8PM a caller reported that a man was yelling at him for “riding his bike on a trail” and then the yelling man proceeded to videotape him with his cell phone. An officer responded and found that a condo occupant had confronted the bike rider “for schlepping his bike over [an] embankment.”  There was no crime.


ASSAULT IN-PROGRESS |  NORTH BEND BARTELL DRUGS

On May 19th around 2:30PM an officer responded to an assault in progress where a female had punched another female in the chest over a parking issue. While en route the officer was informed that the suspect had fled toward I-90.


THEFT IN-PROGRESS | NORTH BEND SAFEWAY

On May 19th at 2:45PM a caller reported that a subject who had been in the store for hours finally exited and stole a beverage – but they were able to get that beverage back.  The employee wanted the subject trespassed from the store.


RECOVERY OF POSSIBLE STOLEN PROPERTY |  SNOQUALMIE 

On May 19th around 11:15AM a department store brand (“Next”) 16″ chrome kids bike was found and placed into evidence as found property.


ANIMAL PROBLEM | SE ISLEY ST, Snoqualmie

On May 20th around 6:30PM a caller reported a bear in their backyard. An officer responded, checked the area and contacted neighbors who reported a few sightings over the past two weeks.  The reporting person told the officer that they felt bear activity had gone up in recent weeks.
