Police Blotter | Reindeer assault; attempted pants theft; flashing to protect the elk; they’re my tools, no they’re my tools

Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past week:

CIVIL PROBLEM | E NORTH BEND WAY

On December 6th around 2:00PM, a caller reported an ongoing issue with their roommate. She said he has been taking her tools and writing his name on them, while he claims that they are actually his. Officer advised caller to look into the eviction process.

UNWANTED SUBJECT | SAFEWAY, North Bend

On December 6th around 8:00PM, a caller reported a woman attempting to steal alcohol from the store. The subject was detained and arrested while leaving the scene and trespassed from the location for one year. Stolen alcohol was recovered and returned to the store.

DISPUTE | CRANBERRY CT SE, Snoqualmie

On December 7th around 11:30AM, caller reported a neighbor dispute over parking on a shared driveway. Reporting person told police that her neighbor pounded on her door and yelled at her in an aggressive manner. An officer reported that no threats were made, but caller requested the incident be documented.

WEAPONS OFFENSE | SNOQUALMIE PKWY & CENTER BLVD SE

On December 7th around 4:15PM, a caller reported that a man in another vehicle pointed a gun at him during a driving dispute. The suspect was detained and the weapon was seized.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT | SE ONEIL ST, Snoqualmie

On December 8th around 3:00PM, a caller reported that decorative Christmas reindeers in their front yard had been broken. Caller said that in the middle of the night an unknown male subject pulled their heads off and knocked them over. Reporting person just wanted the police to be aware of what happened, but no real damage was done to the decorations.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | ENCOMPASS, North Bend

On December 9th around 12:30AM, multiple callers reported that there was a car parked in front of the location flashing their lights at passing vehicles. It turns out that the driver was watching elk and flashing their headlights to warn passing drivers that there were elk crossing.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | SAFEWAY, North Bend

On December 10th around 5:00PM, caller reported that a woman had possibly stolen cosmetics from the store. Employees wanted her trespassed and wanted to press charges if she was found in possession of a lot of stolen makeup.

FRAUD | NE 4TH ST, North Bend

On December 12th around 7:30PM, a caller reported that people made her believe that she had to purchase gift cards to remove a charge she had on her account. She now believes that people over the phone took the balances from 38 iTunes gift cards that she purchased.

ASSAULT REPORT | TRAIN DEPOT, North Bend

On December 13th around 3:30PM, a caller reported that a man spit in his face and tried to steal his pants while at the Shell Station. Victim doesn’t want to press charges.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | BARTELLS, North Bend

On December 13th around 4:30PM, caller reported a young man tried to shoplift. Employees have caught him trying to shoplift in the past. Subject was trespassed from Bartells for one year.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | MOUNT SI HIGH SCHOOL, Snoqualmie

On December 14th around 1:45AM, a caller reported hearing what sounded like something steel/heavy falling in the structure of the new building. An officer reported that it was windy, with a lot of metal making noise, and found nothing suspicious.
