Police Blotter | Mother-son liquor heist; help! handcuffed by friend; furnishing liquor to minors; break in via hammer

Here are a few calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie during the past two weeks:

RECKLESS DRIVING | RAILROAD AVE & KING ST, Snoqualmie

On July 19th around 8:30PM, a caller reported a reckless driver on the parkway. The responding officer did not witness any driving violations and was therefore unable to establish probable cause for a DUI. The officer still advised her not to drive and the subject was picked up by her husband.

TRAFFIC EMPHASIS | 700 SE CEDAR FALLS WAY, North Bend

On July 20th around 8:45AM, an officer conducted several traffic stops in the construction zone.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT | JANET AVE NE, North Bend

On July 22nd around 12:00AM, a caller reported hearing what they believed to be an airsoft gun and saw that the window of a car had been shattered. Another neighbor believed the damage was caused by a rock thrown through the window. The officers made contact with the owner of the car who believed it was done by his girlfriend based on the description of the suspect’s vehicle and the fact that they’d just had an argument.

THEFT REPORT | SW MT SI BLVD, North Bend

On July 22nd around 8:40PM, a caller reported that their bluetooth headphones and tools had been stolen from their car. The vehicle had been left unlocked and the theft had occurred earlier in the day. Their was no information on the suspect.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT | SE TANNER RD, North Bend

On July 23rd around 1:30PM, a caller reported that their neighbors were spray painting the street. Police responded and found that it wasn’t spray paint, but just chalk.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | TRAPPER’S SUSHI, North Bend

On July 23rd around 7:20PM, a caller reported a man was smoking something out of a pipe in his car. A dog was tied up outside of the car and appeared unresponsive. Police responded and warned the subject about marijuana laws and told him he would be arrested next time. The dog was okay.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | HEALY AVE, North Bend

On July 23rd around 7:50PM, a caller reported that a man was trying to break back into his house by throwing a hammer. Police arrived. He was drinking beer and appeared to have cuts on his arms so they called for medical aid. The subject was booked into King County Jail for assault and malicious mischief.

AREA CHECK | SNOQUALMIE POINT PARK, Snoqualmie

On July 24th around 10:15PM, during an area check, officers noticed two unoccupied cars in the park after closing. They found that it was just some sky watchers hoping to see the Northern Lights.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | SI VIEW PARK, North Bend

On July 26th around 11:55AM, a caller reported seeing a man carrying a rifle under his arm. Officers made the man leave the park. He was just carrying a pellet gun.

THEFT REPORT | SAFEWAY, North Bend

On July 26th around 7:05PM, an employee reported that subjects who had stolen from the store in the past were back. This time they stole a whole cart of liquor and left in a car. The store was able to make a positive ID on the two subjects— a mother and son team— and reported the total value of stolen merchandise as $1,286.79. Both suspects were identified on the scene by officers.

CITIZEN ASSIST | PICKERING CT SE, Snoqualmie

On July 27th around 9:05PM, a caller reported that their 12-year-old child got handcuffed by a neighbor kid after they’d been playing together. Officers responded and unlocked the cuffs for them.

NOISE COMPLAINT | FAIRWAY AVE S, Snoqualmie

On July 29th around 2:30AM, a caller reported that there was an unknown vehicle parked in their guest parking area with two young men drinking beer inside. Officers responded and found six juveniles who had been at a nearby party. They walked them back to the party where they charged four of the kids with minor in possession, and one adult with furnishing alcohol to minors.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | W NORTH BEND WAY, North Bend

On July 28th around 10:05PM, a known subject was trespassed from Shell Station per the manager’s request, due to disruptive behavior, swearing at employees, and theft.
