Police Blotter | lego-nose crisis; not getting in until sober; senior center breakout; weapon in woods

Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie during the past two weeks:

UNWANTED SUBJECT | SAFEWAY, Snoqualmie

On February 24th around 7:00PM, a caller reported a transient man who had been hanging around the store the past couple days, possibly stealing food. They didn’t want to press charges, just wanted him trespassed and moved along.

911 PROBLEM | HANCOCK AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On February 25th around 7:20PM, a caller contacted 911 and immediately hung up. When the 911 operator called back, there was no answer. Snoqualmie Fire responded to the location and found that there was a child with a lego stuck up his nose. Medics handled the situation.

DISTURBANCE | PICKERING CT SE, Snoqualmie

On February 26th around 1:20AM, a caller reported a disturbance. Officers responded and found that a wife had locked her husband out of the house due to his drinking. The husband agreed to spend the night at his son’s house.

CITIZEN ASSIST | QFC, North Bend

On February 25th around 10PM, an elderly man contacted the police because he needed help getting home due to the weather. He had reportedly broken out of the Regency Senior Living Center earlier that day and “sowed his oats at the casino, then decided he needed ketchup and avocados” and went to the store. When it began snowing he decided to give up and called the police for assistance. An officer gave him a ride back to Regency and “tucked him into his room and talked with the nurses.” The nurses said they would watch him to make sure he didn’t get out again.

VEHICLE PROWL REPORT | CENTER BLVD SE, Snoqualmie

On February 27th around 7:40PM, a caller reported that their car had been broken into through the passenger window and their purse was stolen.

WEAPONS OFFENSE | SWENSON PARK, Snoqualmie

On March 1st around 3:30PM, a caller reported seeing a young teenage male in the area with a gun, although they were unsure whether it was real or fake. Police responded and discovered that it was a 14-year old with an airsoft gun hanging out in the woods. The officer spoke with the juvenile’s mother and he was returned home.

DISTURBANCE | SWORD FERN AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On March 2nd around 7:30PM, a caller reported a verbal and physical altercation between a man and woman. Police arrived on the scene and found that it was a dispute during a child custody exchange. Officers were unable to establish the primary physical aggressor, so they separated the two parties and referred the case to the prosecutor.
