Police Blotter | Golf Course, Hockey mask-wearing Turf War; Not drunk, just full and tired; Domestic dispute with Baby formula

blotter logoHere are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past two weeks.

DUI ACCIDENT |  SE 140TH ST, North Bend

On August 14th at 1:30PM a caller reported a vehicle in a ditch and said the driver appeared to have been drinking and “driving out of control.”  An officer and aid crew responded due to the vehicle’s airbags being deployed. The 30-year old intoxicated male driver injured his hand and was treated. The officer could not do a standardized field sobriety test due to the driver’s level of intoxication, but a portable breathalyzer test recorded a blood alcohol level of .345. The man was read his rights and transported to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital for a voluntary blood draw.  His car was towed.


GOLF COURSE THEFT | TPC Snoqualmie Ridge

On August 15th at 9:15AM management reported a possible theft from the locker room, with a likely suspected identified.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | ROCK CREEK RIDGE BLVD, North Bend

On August 16th at 7PM a caller reported that a someone broke into his/her vehicle parked near the entrance to the apartment complex.  A window was smashed and multiple items were stolen.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | COUNTRY PRIDE Restaurant, North Bend

On August 16th at 1:30AM an employee reported that a man who appeared to have been drinking was passed out in the restaurant. The employee was unable to wake the man who had been in the restaurant for three hours. An officer responded and reported that the man just fell asleep after his meal.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | SATTERLEE AVE, Snoqualmie

On August 16th around 1PM a caller reported ongoing issues with their neighbors leaving recycling bins in front of a different neighbor’s home. The caller was concerned about the activity due to the person placing their garbage bins in front of a home several houses up from “their proper location” and then washing the bins out after the waste trucks collect the material every week.


TRESPASSING IN-PROGRESS | ECHO RIDGE APARTMENTS, Snoqualmie

On August 16th around 4PM a caller reported three male teens hanging around the property, with one of the subjects trespassed from the location before due to littering and “drug behavior.” An officer responded and issued three trespass warnings.


THEFT REPORT | 520 E NORTH BEND WAY

On August 16th around 11PM a gas station employee reported a female driving off without paying for her gas, totaling $23. The employee believed it may have been accidental. An officer responded to the registered owner’s address where the parents of the driver agreed to pay the $23.16 gas bill.


FRAUD | NORTH BEND ACE HARDWARE

On August 18th at 12PM an employee reported a customer who paid with a possible counterfeit $100 bill. The customer agreed to stay and speak with the officer who reported that the bill appeared real – just older U.S. currency brought with the customer from Chile. The customer’s ID and passport also appeared valid.


VEHICLE PROWL REPORT | MOUNT SI HIGH SCHOOL

On August 20th at 1:20PM a caller reported that a backpack was stolen from their vehicle, where a window was left open. The backpack contained a wallet, sunglasses and other items.


Hit and Run | TURNBERRY ST & ARDMORE AVE, Snoqualmie

On August 20th at 8:15PM a caller reported that a vehicle had hit the gate at the neighborhood entrance – and that it sounded like the SUV was still in the area. An officer responded and located the vehicle. The driver had been drinking and aid was called to transport the driver to the hospital due to the level of intoxication. Witness statements were collected to charge driver with hit and run and reckless driving.


MALICIOUS MISCHIEF IN-PROGRESS | TPC Snoqualmie Ridge

On August 20th at 10:40PM police were called to the golf course cart path between the 8th and 9th holes for a report of four males in hockey masks vandalizing tables set up for the Boeing Classic Tournament.  The officer reported that the incident appeared to be a “turf war” over vending spots.  It was reported that unknown suspects had flipped over one vendor’s tables so they came back to guard their spots from future “attacks.”  The subjects were advised  “to call police in the future and not to take matters into their own hands.”


DOMESTIC DISPUTE | SE SWENSON DR, Snoqualmie

On August 22nd around 10:30PM a caller reported that his roommate, who is also the mother of his child, was harassing him, refusing to return his property and poured a whole bottle of formula over him.


THEFT IN-PROGRESS | North Bend EZ MART

On August 23rd around 9:30PM a caller reported that his friend borrowed his car, went to the EZ Mart and the car was stolen while his friend was inside the store. The keys were left in the vehicle and the friend did not see the vehicle leave the location.  An officer responded to take the report.

  • Meanwhile in the larger unincorporated areas outsidethe city limits? There is a lot mote that happens that is not reported here!

  • Why no names? Certainly there is no public service done if people are unafraid of being ‘outed’ for their misbehaviors? These are more in the line of a vicarious ‘tease’…

    1. Probably no names until charges are bought, you know the old “innocent until proven guilty” bit.

      1. I agree with the ‘innocent until proven guilty’ policy; but it seems that even after the court dates we don’t hear who it was. Don’t the readers want to know the results, not just the ‘exciting’ events themselves? Not a fan of incomplete journalism. Let us know the bottom line of what happened.

        1. 1. Court cases often run 6 mo – 1 year.
          2. Innocent until proven guilty
          3. Do you really think that “Living Snoqualmie” has the resources to track each of these incidents so that your insatiable curiosity may be relieved? Give me a break.
