Police Blotter | Gatorades on the run; followed from Covington; really tired not drunk; hit and run

Here are a few calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past week:

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | WOODMAN LODGE, Snoqualmie

On April 12th around 6:30PM, a caller reported that a car being driven by an older man had been following her since highway 18 in the Covington area. The reporting person called from the side streets by the Woodman Lodge, where the car had followed her. Police investigated and found out the man had been following her because he believed she was driving under the influence, but she was not.

HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT UNATTENDED | SAFEWAY, Snoqualmie

On April 15th around 4:45PM, a car was hit and damaged while in the Safeway parking lot. The other vehicle left the scene.

THEFT IN PROGRESS | SAFEWAY, North Bend

On April 18th around 4:00AM, a subject on a bicycle filled shopping bags with gatorade from the outside display and rode off. Police caught and detained the known subject. The subject was eventually released and the items were returned to the store.

VEHICLE PROWL IN PROGRESS | THREE FORKS DOG PARK, Snoqualmie

On April 18th around 2:00PM, a caller reported that a man stole her wallet from her vehicle. She saw him walking around her car, and then heard the car alarm go off and saw him run away.

DUI/PHYSICAL CONTROL | SHELL STATION, North Bend

On April 19th around 9:30PM, a caller reported a reckless driver, swerving in and out of lanes with blinkers and high beams going on and off for no reason. The car pulled into the gas station and the driver got out of the car and appeared to be staggering, and left the car running while he put air into the tires. When police arrived the driver refused to take a sobriety test, claiming to just be very tired. Police administered a breathalyzer test and found that the subject had no alcohol in his system.

DISTURBANCE | SNO VALLEY EAGLES, Snoqualmie

On April 20th around 6:20PM, a caller reported a man being verbally aggressive with a female bartender. The manager and bartender requested that the subject be trespassed. This was a known subject, and nothing rose to criminal harassment, but the subject was served a trespass notice and appeared to understand. The business and subject were both given copies.
