Police Blotter | DUI driver arrested after almost hitting pedestrians; vaping lie leads to chase; traffic stop results in fraud charges

Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie PD responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past two weeks.

July 29th

Around 6:55AM officers responded to a two-car injury collision at E Park St & Healy Ave in North Bend. Medical aid was called to check for injuries and tow trucks were called to remove both vehicles. The driver who caused the accident was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Around 11:55AM, officers contacted a vehicle near SE North Bend Way that was missing the front license plate. A check revealed that the driver had an outstanding warrant for driving on a suspended license in the amount of $5100. He was arrested without incident and booked into the SCORE jail.

Around 8:45PM, officers in North Bend stopped a vehicle near W. McClellan Street that had narrowly missed hitting several pedestrians. The male driver smelled of intoxicants and exhibited behavior that suggested he was possibly impaired. His blood alcohol results were over the legal limit. He was arrested for DUI and Reckless Endangerment.

July 30th

Around 12:05AM, an officer was approached by a male subject saying that a store clerk at a business on Railroad Avenue was calling 911 to report that an underage subject was attempting to buy a vaping device. The officer entered the store and spoke to the owner who had no idea what he was talking about. Upon returning to his vehicle, the officer saw the man that approached him speed away. The officer was able to stop the vehicle who was traveling almost 10 miles over the posted speed limit and found that he did not have a required interlock device. The male subject was booked into Issaquah Jail without incident.

July 31st

Around 8:15AM, officers responded to a two-vehicle injury collision on Snoqualmie Parkway at SE 99th St. Snoqualmie firefighters arrived to check for injuries. The driver who caused the accident was ticketed for no insurance.

Around 9:35AM, officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious male looking inside of vehicles at a business off of Falls Avenue. The male subject was trespassed from the business.

Around 11:15AM, officers received a report that a vehicle struck a deer in the area of Snoqualmie Parkway and Douglas Ave SE. Upon arrival they had to dispatch the deer.

Around 4:30PM, officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at the North Bend Outlet Mall. A woman was reported to have stolen several purses which totaled over $800. There is video footage and a vehicle description so officers will continue to investigate.

August 1st

Around 10:40AM, North Bend Officers received a report of a hit and run collision that occurred in the 700 block of NE 2nd Street. Officers arrived at the location and spoke to the driver of the victim vehicle who provided a good description of the driver that left the scene. Officers located the suspect vehicle and took the driver back to the scene.

Around 11:20PM, officers patrolling area of SE Kimball Creek Dr & 384th Ave SE stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officers observed several wallets, bank cards, and bank documents that did not belong to the driver. The suspect was detained and fraud charges will be forwarded to the prosecutor.
