Police Blotter | Don’t Know You so NOT Opening Door; Trying to get to Alaska; Help, I’m Locked out; DUI on Freeway

Screen Shot 2015-04-13 at 11.02.40 AMHere are some of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past week – and yes, sometimes police assistance is needed when you’re locked out of your home.

RECKLESS DRIVING | ROCK CREEK RIDGE BLVD SW, North BendOn March 28th a vehicle was seen swerving over lane lines on EB I-90 and then exited and was followed by police, who reported the SUV was driving “pretty bad.”  The reckless driving suspect was arrested for DUI.  The vehicle was towed and driver put in a 12 hour DUI hold.

On March 28th a caller reported a suspicious person who appeared to have been drinking sitting on a bench in front of the North Bend Bar and Grill.  Police responded to find a couple “hanging out on the bench laughing” and sober – no crime.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  HARDING PL, Snoqualmie

On March 29th police responded to a report of a suspicious person walking up and down the street.  One neighbor, who thought the person might be “casing” residences, confront the walking individual. The responding officer transported the male subject to a shelter, which was what the man was seeking.


COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING | TORGUSON PARK, North BendOn March 30th police responded to Torguson Park for a report of person sleeping in the bushes. The subject was uncooperative and non-compliant, so a second officer was called to the scene.  The man refused to give his name and was transported to the police department for questioning and identification, which revealed the subject had a warrant for his arrest out of the Renton Police Department.  Charges for prohibited camping and obstruction will also be forward to the prosecutor.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | PICKERING CT SE, Snoqualmie

On March 30th a caller reported that a man came to the door asking to see their deck that painters had been working on that day – to see what kind of job they had done. The caller did not know who the man was or if he was associated with the workers, so did not open the door.  Police responded but were not able to locate the person.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES  | SW MT SI BLVD; North Bend Chevron Station

On March 31st police responded to the Chevron station for a report of a male who possibly had been drinking and was bothering customers and asking for rides.  He was asked to leave and police caught up with him next door at McDonald’s, where he explained he was just looking for a ride to go North toward Alaska.


MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT |  SE 11TH PL, North BendOn April 1st police responded to a residence when someone threw a rock through the home’s living room window.  No suspect information was known.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  NORTH BEND WAY; MT SI APARTMENTS

On April 3rd police responded to a report of female on an apartment rear balcony screaming for help for the past five minutes. The caller was unaware of what kind of help the woman might need.  The responding officer found the female who had locked herself out of the apartment. The building manager was located and the woman was able to get back into her home.
