Police Blotter | Asleep with Christmas music playing; porn in the parking lot; possible house purchase insomnia

Here are are few calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie during the past week:

THEFT REPORT | OUTLET MALL, North Bend

On January 5th around 9:15PM, a caller reported that a woman had stolen over $200 worth of merchandise from Zumiez. She went into the changing room to try clothes on, but did not come back out with them. The woman left in a small red car, accompanied by another woman and a child. She was gone by the time police arrived.

NOISE COMPLAINT | SWENSON DR & MCINTOSH CT, Snoqualmie

On January 6th around 10:30PM, a caller reported that a house was playing Christmas music too loudly. Police contacted the homeowner, who had fallen asleep and forgotten that the music was still on. An officer reported that the “music was festive holiday music that matched the lights outside the house” and that “appropriate action was taken.”

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | NE 12TH ST & HAYSTACK AVE, North Bend

On January 6th around 6:50PM, a caller reported suspicious activity at a house that was under construction. A man had parked his car in the driveway and was walking around with a flashlight. Police arrived and found the subject in the street picking up nails, rocks, etc. He said he hadn’t slept in two days and was there because he was thinking of buying the house. His car was full of construction supplies. Officers found his story strange, but couldn’t prove anything was stolen. Subject was given a warning to stay out of North Bend.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT | FORSTER BLVD, North Bend

On January 6th around 10PM, a caller reported that her house was egged. She didn’t see who did it and no damage was done, but she just wanted to make police aware before she cleaned it off.

UNWANTED SUBJECT | UNITED METHODIST, Snoqualmie

On January 8th around 6:45AM, a caller reported that a guest was being verbally aggressive with employees and refusing to leave. The guest was a known subject and the reporting person required that they move along for the day. Police advised employees to call again if the behavior continues. The subject left after heavy negotiations and a cigarette.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | NORTH BEND LIBRARY

On January 9th around 7:10PM, a caller reported that an older man was parked outside the library watching porn in his car. She was concerned that a child might walk by and see this. Police checked the area for the subject, but he had left by the time they were contacted. The reporting person did not want to write a statement, she just wanted the police to be aware.

TRESPASSING IN-PROGRESS | LOWER FALLS, Snoqualmie

On January 13th around 1:10PM, a caller reported that three people jumped the fence to the water. Police arrived and trespassed all subjects from the location, as requested by the staff.
