Planned Power Outage to impact North Bend neighborhoods near Cedar Landing development, May 5th

The City of North Bend warned citizens Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is planning a power outage that will impact electric service to homes near the new Cedar Landing subdivision being built by Quadrant Homes near I-90 exit 32 in North Bend.

The scheduled outage will take place Saturday, May 5th from 8AM  and 3PM

PSE electric crews have been working to relocate part of the existing overhead electric system to underground along 432nd Avenue SE and the outage is required to energize the newly installed system.

According to a city press release, due to the complexity of the work, “the outage will ensure the safety of PSE crews and the public.”

Affected areas include portions of 428th Avenue SE, 432nd Avenue SE, SE 134th CT, SE 134th Place, SE 134th St, SE 137th Place and Stilson Avenue SE.

See the attached map of the anticipated outage area to see if you will be impacted.

As soon as PSE finishes construction, power will return automatically. Traffic control signs and flaggers will guide vehicles and pedestrians safely through work zones during the outage.

The City of North Bend said, “We understand being without power is a significant inconvenience and PSE crews will work as quickly as possible to restore power.”
