Pinocchio Plays Valley Center Stage – Fun, Interactive Show For Kids

Children, ages four and up will be treated to Valley Center Stage’s 3rd annual interactive kids show for two weekends.  This weekend’s shows are today, Friday, February 8th at 7PM and Saturday, February 9th, at 2PM.  Next weekend showtimes are February 15th, at 7PM and Saturday, February 16th, at 2PM.

Children will follow the exploits of Gepetto & the little wooden puppet who wants to be a real boy, in a delightful adaptation of the classic children’s novel, The Adventures of Pinocchio.

Pinocchio embarks on a journey tangling with tricksters and mischief-makers, all the while determined to prove he is good enough to become a real boy. He is helped by his friend Hickory Cricket and the Blue Fairy.

“This is a participation play.” says director Gary Schwartz. “There are chases through the audience and kids are asked to help out by being crickets, music boxes, cuckoo clocks and more.”

The ensemble includes an entire family. Lisa, Peter and their daughter Alex Bryant play several roles in the show. Peter Cook, last seen in Moon Over Buffalo at Valley Center Stage, stars as the Cricket and twelve-year-old James Kolke is Pinocchio. Veteran actor Craig Ewing and high school senior Courtney Struelens round out the cast.

Admission is $10.00 for adults and $7.50 for kids & seniors . Tickets are available online at www.valleycenterstage.org.
