Police seek witnesses to hit-and-run that critically injured man near Snoqualmie

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) said a man was hit and critically injured at the I-90/SR 18 interchange near Snoqualmie, Thursday night, February 27, 2020.

According to WSP Trooper Rick Johnson, at 11:45PM a vehicle became disabled on eastbound SR 18 in the gore point near the on-ramp to eastbound I-90.

Troopers arrived along with the fire department to find a male subject on the ground and unresponsive. The fire department transported the individual to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. As of February 28th, the victim had yet to be identified.

According to witnesses, a Subaru station wagon was disabled in the gore point eastbound SR 18 to eastbound I-90 when the driver of this vehicle possibly stepped into the lane of travel to flag down traffic. It was at this
point that a small white sedan struck the individual and continued onto eastbound I-90 without stopping.

The only description the witness could give was the vehicle color and that it was a smaller. The vehicle will have sustained unknown front end damage.

WSP detectives are seeking any information about this tragic incident to include information about the vehicle that fled the scene and the driver.
