Pedestrian Killed Wednesday on Interstate 90 Near Bandera

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), at approximately 8 pm on Wednesday, September 21st, a pedestrian was killed on I90 near milepost 47.

A 2017 Lexus with two female occupants was traveling westbound in lane three of three when a third female stepped into the lane from the left shoulder.

The vehicle struck the pedestrian, and the vehicle and pedestrian came to rest on the left shoulder.

The pedestrian was deceased at the scene. Both the occupants of the vehicle were taken to Overlake Hospital. They were wearing seatbelts. It is unknown if drugs and alcohol were involved.

The roadway was blocked for four hours and three minutes.

  • We drove up to Suncadia last night about 6:30 and saw a woman trying to cross the freeway in the eastbound lanes near the pass, wearing just shorts and a tube top) and then at about 8 on our way home when we saw the ambulance and the car on the left shoulder (the police hadn’t arrived yet) and my first thought was I hope it wasn’t her. ;-(
