Paul Newman's Final Project, Lucky Them, Filming in Snoqualmie

Paul Newman’s final movie project, Lucky Them, is filming in downtown Snoqualmie today, February 12, 2013, according to film crew members.  Crew members also said that actors will be “in and out” throughout the day.

Newman was working on the project when he died in 2008.  The movie began filming in the Seattle area on January 26th, which is Newman’s birthday.

Lucky Them, a romantic comedy about a female rock journalist in pursuit of her reclusive musician ex-boyfriend, stars Thomas Haden Church and Toni Collette.  Other cast members include Oliver Platt, Ryan Eggold and Ahna O’Reilly, according to imbd.com.  Paul Newman’s wife, Joanne Woodward, is producing the film.

Snoqualmie’s King Street Parking lot is filled with movie trailers and caterers.  Crew members were spotted in The Bindlestick this morning grabbing coffee.

It appears the scene preparing to film will be set in an RV that was hauled into town behind a large truck and is parked along Railroad Ave and King Street.  Around 9AM the front of the RV was being lit, probably for filming, with the Snoqualmie Depot and The Woodman Lodge as background.
