Overnight Closure of Westbound SR-18 Planned for May 25, near Maple Valley

Westbound State Route 18 will have a full nighttime closure Thursday, May 25. Eastbound lanes will remain open.

Drivers should consider alternate routes during the May 25 overnight closure. There is no formal detour, but drivers can take Issaquah-Hobart Road southeast to westbound Interstate 90 and southbound I-405 to get around the work zone.

Closure Information

Construction will occur on SR 18 between Southeast 232 Street in Maple Valley and Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast in Hobart.

  • From 11 pm Thursday, May 25, to 4 am May 26, westbound SR 18 will fully close

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will patch rough spots and seal cracks along SR 18. This closure is weather dependent.

Travelers can get real-time information via the WSDOT mobile app, the real-time travel map or by following the WSDOT Traffic Twitter account.
