Organize that House: FREE recycle event offered in Snoqualmie, September 14th

Getting the kids back to school each fall inevitably leads to organization and cleaning.

If you find yourself with household items that you’re looking to recycle or get rid of, the City of Snoqualmie is once again offering its annual FREE household recycling event – on Saturday, September 14th from 9AM to 3PM at Centennial Fields, 39903 SE Park Street.

The event is only for household items (no commercial items), but almost everything is accepted, including the clunky old TVs and computer monitors. It is open to all King County residents.

Multiple service providers will be on hand to take things off your hands that might be cluttering your home. Note: all service providers do have the right to refuse any material they deem unacceptable.

This event has been highly attended in the past, with long car lineups waiting to dispose of items… so bring your patience.

What’s Accepted and What’s Not

NOT ACCEPTED:
• Latex paint is not accepted; dry it out and put it in regular garbage containers.
• Oil-based paint, pesticides, or household chemicals should be taken to a Hazardous Wastemobile or the Factoria Household Hazardous Waste drop-off site at 13800 SE 32nd St, Bellevue. (Info: bit.ly/KCHazardousWaste)
• No packing peanuts, planter pots, or plastic play equipment.
