One-mile stretch of Fish Hatchery Road to close for three weeks

King County Road Services will be closing a section of SE Fish Hatchery Road – from SE 49th to 372nd Street in Fall City starting Monday, October 2, 2017. The approximate one-mile closure is anticipated to last through October 20th.

The county is will be repairing about 180 feet roadway along the river side of Fish Hatchery Road, located about a half mile off of SR 202.

According to KC Road Services, this section of road developed small fractures along the southeast shoulder, adjacent the Snoqualmie River, due to river scour and storms and caused part of the shoulder to drop about six feet.

The subgrade under two sections of the roadway will have to be rebuilt and then a guard rail will be installed on the river side.

This section of Fish Hatchery Road will be completely closed for approximately three weeks, but a detour will be established with road signs in place to direct traffic.
