North Bend Names 2016 Employee of the Year

On December 14, 2016, the City of North Bend announced and congratulated City Clerk, SUSIE OPPEDAL, on being named the 2016 Employee of the Year.

Mayor Hearing and staff recognized Susie for her many contributions and accomplishments on behalf of the City at the annual Wellness Employee Recognition Luncheon held on December 8th.

Ms. Oppedal began working for the City of North Bend in 2007, having previously worked as a Legal Assistant. She was recognized for her strong work ethic, high degree of leadership, strong communication skills and outstanding customer service.

“Susie’s leadership and willingness to take on tough, detailed projects despite her heavy work load speaks to her high level of performance and commitment to the City,” said Mayor Ken Hearing.  He congratulated Susie on her well-deserved award.

Mayor Hearing and staff also recognized BRIAN TUCKER, Project Manager, for his admirable work ethic, dedication and outstanding commitment to the citizens and community of North Bend.

Mr. Tucker began working for the City in 2014, having previously worked for WorleyParsons as a Lead Senior Designer.

Mayor Hearing also announced the City’s two new employees. New staff members in 2016 include Waste Water Operator II Jerry Forza, and SCADA Supervisor Chris Cote. The Mayor recognized the Wellness Committee for the work they do all year-long in support of staff and the Wellness program; and expressed his sincere thanks on behalf of the elected officials to all employees for their hard work and dedication in 2016.
