North Bend Mayor Rob McFarland Announces Re-Election Bid

Today North Bend Mayor Rob McFarland announced his intention to seek a second term. Following the announcement, Mayor McFarland released the following statement –

“Serving the citizens of North Bend as mayor has been an incredible honor and privilege. As I reflect on a challenging start to my first term due to what turned out to be a global pandemic, I’m proud of the decisions that were made and the work that was done for the betterment of our community. As your mayor, I look forward to the opportunity to continue to utilize my experience and knowledge to foster and enhance our highly livable small-town community.

I have been active in our community since I arrived over 25 years ago with my wife, Roberta, and daughters, Kathryn and Rebekah. Prior to becoming mayor, I volunteered my time and expertise to various commissions and organizations, including the Parks and Planning

Commissions, the Meadowbrook Farm Preservation Association, the Encompass Board, and the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation.” I listened, and I learned.

Under my leadership as mayor, the city’s transportation and infrastructure is vastly improving, communications were enhanced and expanded, business sustainability is supported, and business growth has increased significantly, additional housing diversity is being created, support for our social service agencies was increased threefold, and our city parks and trails have been upgraded and expanded – all while keeping a small town sense of caring and

fellowship that shows honest-to-goodness interest in the welfare of others.

Focused leadership, extensive experience and love of community is what I offer the citizens of North Bend. I would appreciate your vote.”
