It’s back… the 6th annual North Bend Jazz Walk happens this Saturday, April 22nd. The highly anticipated music festival happening right in the shadow of Mount Si, features some of the finest jazz talent in the Pacific Northwest.
Fourteen venues in historic downtown North Bend will play host to an evening celebrating jazz: North Bend Theater, Piccola Cellars, Twede’s Café, Valley Center Stage, Brickyard Brewing, Pioneer Coffee, Snoqualmie Valley Moose Lodge, Birches Habitat, Piccola Cellars, Georgia’s Bakery, Chaplin’s, Chang Thai, Wildflower and Il Paesano.
All venues are family-friendly and all ages.
The 2017 North Bend Jazz Walk will feature great jazz artists, including: Bernie Jacobs Quartet, Janette West Quartet with Murl Allen Sanders, Kelly Eisenhour + Melanie Shore Trio, Courtney Cutchins Trio, Endemic Ensemble, Tracy Knoop Trio, Greg Ruby Group: Django & Hot Jazz, Nate Parker & Eli Miesner, Chris Symer & Johnaye Kendrick, Kareem Kandi Trio, Paul Green Quartet with Katy Bourne, Chris Clark & Bob Hammer with Jennifer Kienzle, Leah Stillwell Trio, Aria Prame Trio with Dawn Clement, the Boxley’s Pro-Am Big Band, Alexey Nikolaev with Student Supergroups: Max Cannella Trio/George Fremont Trio, and Pete Christlieb & Bill Ramsay with the Danny Kolke Trio.
Additionally, the 2017 North Bend Jazz Walk will showcase a number of top-level high school jazz ensembles, including the Mount Si High School Jazz Ensemble, which is heading to the nationally renowned Essentially Ellington competition in New York City next month. **Note: Mount Si Jazz will play an early set at 5pm at the North Bend Theatre.**
One ticket allows access to all shows and venues. Ticket holders will be able to walk from venue to venue and enjoy the best the local jazz scene has to offer from 6pm to midnight. All ticket proceeds benefit local jazz education, live performance, and scholarships.
The North Bend Jazz Walk is supported by JazzClubsNW, a member-supported, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting live music performance and education in many communities. Only 31 miles from downtown Seattle, North Bend has become a musical destination featuring live music four nights a week at the JazzClubsNW performance stage at Piccola Cellars.
