ORIGINAL STORY

According to Eastside Firefighters social media feeds, crews from Eastside Fire & Rescue, along with Snoqualmie and Fall City Fire Departments and Bellevue paramedics all responded to a major house fire in the Edgewick area of North Bend around 3PM, July 27, 2016.

A smoke column was visible from downtown North Bend and along I-90 from the fully engulfed home in the 46400 block of SE 171st Street. The public was asked to stay clear of the area as firefighters dealt with the blaze in the hot weather conditions.

Eastside Firefighters stated via Twitter that there were no hydrants in the area of the fire, so water was shuttled in. There were no known injuries.

Local news stations had helicopters in the area and captured dramatic photos from the air. There was no word on the cause of the fire.

It is a busy day for Eastside firefighters. Crews were also dispatched to a brush fire near the Washington State Fire Training Academy east of North Bend Wednesday afternoon – as well as swift water rescue personnel called to the 44000 block of Se 70th in the Moon Valley/Ernie’s Grove area of North Bend.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
