North Bend 19-year old Charged in Fatal New Year’s Day Hit and Run of Lucinda Pieczatkowski

It’s been 7 months since Lucinda Pieczatkowski was killed by a hit and run driver early New Year’s Day on Stone Quarry Road.lucy

On August 21, 2013, 19-year old Cody Eads, a 2012 Mount Si High School graduate, will be arraigned for felony hit and run in the case.  The state requested $25,000 bail.

On January 2nd, 2013, a broken headlight left at the scene of the accident led King County Sheriff’s Office detectives to the white Ford F150 that hit and killed Pieczatkowski.  Investigators worked the past few months to place Eads behind the wheel of the truck involved in the hit and run.

Charging documents place Eads at a Fall City party on New Year’s Eve, where he had an argument with his girlfriend and left around 1:30AM. Those documents also state cell phone data helped track Eads’ whereabouts around the time of the hit and run.

Mount Si High School surveillance video placed the F150 truck (without damage) earlier in the day in the school parking lot, where Eads was involved in a trespass incident.
