Nomination Time for Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation Educator of the Year

You have about two weeks left to nominate a SVSD staff members for the 2018 Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation Educator of the Year.

Every year the foundation invites community members to nominate outstanding teachers and classified staff in four categories:

  • Kindergarten through 5th grade certified staff (teacher, counselor, principal, librarian, etc.)
  • 6th grade through 8th grade certificated staff
  • 9th grade through 12th grade certificated staff
  • Classified staff (custodian, food services, transportation, maintenance, office, etc.)

The four winners will be surprised in the first week in March at their schools and then honored at the annual Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation Spring Luncheon on March 22nd.

For nearly three decades the Foundation has been supporting SVSD students and teachers by providing education initiative and professional development grants. Recent funded initiatives include Literacy for Life, STEM education grants and the launch of the TEALS program at Mount Si High School.

If you have a  staff member you’d like to nominate for SVSF Educator of the Year, the nomination form can be found HERE. Nominations are due by January 31st.
