Nominate a Snoqualmie Valley Family who could use some Holiday Cheer for a Free Light Install

What a year 2020 has been! First, Covid-19 descended, leaving everyone scared and worried. Then the kids missed graduation, birthdays, and visiting all their friends. Parents are having to do it all and still find a way to pay bills in a Pandemic. Plus, we had Smokeaggeddon during a hot spell, yuck!

It all got Alicia, of the Messa Real Estate Group thinking…

On Friday, September 18th, through a collaborative effort, the Messa Group and Handy in the Valley announced they are providing a local family a free holiday light install.

Tena, of Handy in the Valley, is always trying to give back to the community, as is Alicia from The Messa Group Real Estate, and the two know each other from being members of the SnoValley Chamber of Commerce. So together they decided to cheer someone up that needs that pick me up, someone that can’t afford or isn’t able to decorate for the holidays themselves.

This contest isn’t the ladies’ first rodeo when it comes to being generous. You may remember the Messa Group helped give away vacations to ‘Snowmaggedon’ heroes last year, and Handy in the Valley is helping a family with three kids who lost one parent to cancer this year by jumping in to hang her holiday lights.

They are asking the community to nominate a family that could really use this holiday cheer by sending an email to handyinthevalley@gmail.com with the subject line “Nomination: Holiday light Install.” Please include a little detail as to why this gift of joy in the form of lights could make someone’s holiday. You are welcome to nominate your own family. They will then choose one family that they can spread some love and holiday cheer to!

[Any family in the entire Snoqualmie Valley is eligible and they can either rent or own their home. Nominations are due by 10/31/2020.]
