As shared by Snoqualmie Valley Transit, beginning August 29, King County Metro route 215 will replace Metro route 208, a result of the East Link Connections Mobility Project.
What this means for local riders
Many people rely on Route 208 to access the Issaquah Transit Center. New Route 215 will not go to the Issaquah Transit Center. Riders will need to adjust.
- New route 215 will go to the Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride, which offers additional new connections, such as a route to Redmond.
- New route 215 will travel on Sundays.
- New route 215 will provide access to light rail via the Eastgate Freeway Station, and from there, to the light rail station on Mercer Island.
- Snoqualmie Valley students attending Bellevue College will have more access on the new route 215. Once at the Eastgate Freeway Station, Metro has frequent routes going to Bellevue College. Additionally, the college is a brisk six-minute walk from the station.
The new route will operate seven days a week, with stops on Snoqualmie Ridge at SE Ridge Street and Center Boulevard SE, in downtown Snoqualmie at Railroad Avenue SE and SE Northern Street, and at the North Bend Premium Outlets.
