NEW Information and Cultural Center, Art Gallery Soon to Welcome Residents and Visitors to North Bend

A Beautiful NEW Welcome to Historic North Bend

It’s been six months since the North Bend Bartell Drugs opened and it looks like the corner adjacent the store is finally working its way toward completion.

Construction is underway and the foundation poured for the future North Bend Information and Cultural Center at the corner of Bendigo Blvd and Park Street. The new center will also be home to the Mountain Valley Gallery which will feature fine art, including some from local Snoqualmie Valley artists.

The Information Center is projected to open on June 26, 2014, at the gateway to historic downtown North Bend, directly across Park Street from the Snoqualmie Valley Historical Museum.

According to Gina Estep, North Bend Director of Community and Economic Development, the Information and Cultural Center is a collaborative partnership between the City of North Bend, the Downtown Foundation and a strong volunteer base.

The city is leasing the new building for five-years and helping fund the center with lodging tax revenues. The Downtown Foundation will also help cover staffing costs and grants are anticipated to help furnish the center and art gallery.

Calling Local Artists

Snoqualmie Valley artists are invited to submit their work for consideration in the soon-to-open Mountain Valley Gallery. Both 2D and 3D art will be accepted for display.

Interested artist should contact Marcia Tuttle Ryon at marciatm7@gmail.com or 425.292.0618 for an Artist Prospectus and Application.
