Mount Si’s Coach Kinnune named Seahawks High School Coach of the Week

Monday, September 25, 2017, the Seattle Seahawks announced Mount Si Football Head Coach Charlie Kinnune was picked as their week 3 High School Coach of the Week.

Coach Kinnune was selected as the Coach of the Week after Mount Si’s last second field goal edged them past Eastlake in week 3 and the team’s big win over rival Skyline in their season opener.

According to the team’s website, the Seahawks High School Coach of the Week Program helps aid the development of youth football.

Each week during the high school football season, the Washington State Football Coaches Association picks two high school football coaches as the Coach of the Week winners.

Coach Kinnune will receive a $500 grant from the NFL to put toward the Mount Si football program. At the end of the season, one coach will be named the NFL High School Coach of the Year for Washington State.  That coach will received a $2,000 grant.

Congratulations Coach Kinnune.
