Mount Si Principal John Belcher Gives Two Freshman Learning Center Presentations This Week-March 19th & 21st

Fresh off the heals of the SVSD School Board’s decision to move forward with the annexation of Snoqulamie Middle School to Mount Si as its 9th grade campus in 2013, MSHS Principal John Belcher will give two presentations about the  future vision of the Mount Si High School Freshman Learning Center.

The first of the two presentations is tonight, March 19th, during the MSHS General PTSA Meeting which begins at 6:30PM in the Mount Si Library.  Mr. Belcher’s presentation is scheduled from 7-7:30PM.  His second presentation happens at Twin Falls Middle School Wednesday, March 21st, at 6:30PM and is sponsored by the TFMS PTSA.  Beth Burrows, Twin Falls PTSA C0-President, says Mr. Belcher’s  30 minute presentation begins at 6:30PM and hopes there will be time for a few questions. Beth warns that Mr. Belcher does have another engagement immediately following his 6:30PM presentation so time will be closely monitored.

Mr. Belcher says the meeting format will stay predominantly the same as his earlier presentations to the SVSD School Board.  He further adds that the meetings will include “more on the reasoning why we feel the freshmen campus is the answer. ”

Everyone is invited to attend these meetings and hear Mr. Belcher’s Freshman Learning Center presentation – even if they are not Mount Si or Twin Falls PTSA members.   Both PTSA’s encourage any member of the public to attend and find out more about Snoqualmie Valley School District’s future Freshman Learning Center.
