Mount Si High School Senior Honored with Scholarship from Local Firefighters

At its 16th Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner and Ceremony, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 2878, which represents firefighters and other staff of the Snoqualmie Fire Department, Eastside Fire & Rescue, Fall City Fire District 27 and Duvall Fire District 45, honored eight local high school seniors with college scholarships, including one from Mount Si High School.

The IAFF scholarship program was established to encourage and reward high school seniors who are involved in community activities and is completely funded by IAFF Local 2878 members.

During the June 3rd awards dinner, Mount Si senior Jordan Koellen was presented with the IAFF scholarship based on her community service, volunteer activities and the outstanding contributions she has made in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Since its inception, the IAFF Local 2878 has awarded $52,000 in scholarship money to deserving high school seniors.

In addition to Mount Si’s Jordan Koellen, local firefighters also award scholarships to:

  • Cedarcrest High School:  Colton Green
