Mount Si boys soccer secures spot in 4A State quarterfinals with incredible go-ahead goal

Wednesday night, May 15, 2019, with a incredible teamwork and an amazing go-ahead goal at the 68 minute mark, Mount Si Boys soccer secured a spot in the WIAA 4A State Quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory over Sumner High School – the team that knocked them out of state last year.

The victory sets up a state quarter final game against KingCo rival Issaquah High School on Saturday, May 18th at 7PM at Issaquah HS. Issaquah beat Tahoma 4-1 on Tuesday night to advance to the quarters.

The last time the two teams played was April 30th with Mount Si winning 2-1. Issaquah finished 3rd in the regular season KingCo standings at 5-3-1. Mount Si took the KingCo title with a regular season record of 8-1.
